Our story

Cork & Board was created by Lauren and Megan, two friends who share a passion for bringing people together and creating beautiful memories. We are both mothers and wives who adore our families and consider our roles as “wife and mom” to be our greatest privilege and deep source of joy.  There is hardly a charcuterie that wasn’t shopped for with a baby on our hip or a teenager who helped carry in groceries from the car.  Our passion for events flows from the same heart we have for our own families and the joy we feel when we bring our people together.

While Lauren was hosting a formal holiday event for 80 people, the party was in a time crunch crisis. Lauren planned to do two- 10 foot long charcuteries for the crowd and time was ticking. Megan jumped in went to work on one charcuterie while Lauren did the other.  We hardly looked up as we tossed bags of cookies and salami back and forth across the kitchen.  When we turned around in the knick of time as the first guest arrived, we exhaled, laughed and realized we had produced a beautiful event! Our business was born. Our shared passion and history of bringing people together for meaningful and beautiful memories made our partnership the perfect fit and we’ve never looked back!

Since the start of our business we have found ourselves producing charcuteries for political events, healthcare worker appreciation, law offices, bridal showers, in home events, graduation parties, baby showers, celebrations of life and a variety of other beautiful occasions. Every time, we are struck by the way people respond to charcuterie, wanting to marvel at it as if you put rare fine art on display. It’s a custom conversation piece that can make any gathering one to remember. It is our joy to work with you! We cannot wait to become your friend and make your event beautiful as if it were an event for our own family.
